September 25. Riley is 3 today. Here's a cupcake for your birthday. Love Mimi

As we drove into Panama City, a tomato stand with lots of umbrellas caught my eye. I've been painting on it off and on for about two weeks. I will put it in my office to remember our summer trip.
This is a painting from a photograph from a website that challenges artists to give their intepretation of a different photograph each week.. The deadline is tomorrow. I don't know if I will submit it or not.
Just finished up a few paintings today.
I haven't painted much lately. I've been busy grading online or planning classes. I am actually caught up on grading and painted last night. Today is a rainy day that looks like another paint day. This was a barn on a hill coming out of Rachael's subdivision. I never got around to taking a picture of it, so this is from memory.
My favorite part of each day is driving to work on St. Baise. It is basically a one lane country road with trees on each side. In the Summer it is like driving through a tunnel. I listen to the traffic reports on the radio as I drive and am thankful that I am not in morning traffic on I-65. Occassionally there will be a little congestion on St. Blaise when someone's cow gets out.

Riley is creative. The bucket serves well as a helmet. This is one of the paintings entered in the Hendersonville Arts Society Spring Show which runs May 29- June 26 at the Monthaven Mansion.

My granddaughter has quite a flair for color. I see talent here.
