Susan received her Bachelor of Science in Art and Elementary Education form PeabodyCollege.Presently she is a Professor of Education at VolunteerStateCommunity College. She has attended various watercolor workshops at Arrowmont and studied with Harold Miller and Joe Miller. Her main medium is watercolor although she occasionally works with pastels, colored pencils and oil. She has had one man shows at Cheekwood, Vanderbilt University Club, Monthaven, Bookstar Book Store and Govans. She accepts commissioned work for painting portraits from photographs. She teaches watercolor classes at the Hendersonville Arts Council at Monthaven, the Old Hickory Arts Center, and private lessons in her home.
